The first Vogue Business Executive Summit invited CEOs, category leaders and founders to share how they’re navigating an industry in flux. Six years into leading America’s quintessential fashion brand, Ralph Lauren CEO Patrice Louvet reflected on how he prioritises new technologies and plans for growth without necessarily selling more product. Stefano Martinetto, the CEO of brand development platform Tomorrow London, spoke to the challenges facing a newer generation of brands. Reflecting on how technology will influence the future of fashion, Natasha Franck, the CEO of Eon, shared her outlook on digital IDs — which will soon be mandatory for all fashion brands in the EU, while the founders and co-CEOs of DressX detailed the role that digital twins will play in fashion as metaverse hype wanes.
Finally, beauty leaders looked forward as the industry develops to meet the needs of a new consumer. Estée Lauder’s SVP of luxury, Kendal Ascher, explained the role of ultra-luxe beauty products in defining the next generation of cosmetics and skincare. And Katia Beauchamp, the co-founder of Birchbox who’s now heading up Victoria Beckham Beauty as CEO, discussed how fashion and beauty have become more closely intertwined and how to move quickly as a leader.
